VFR helper tool This utility is now part of the splitter package. As there are no tools to process/reencode VFR Matroska files, I've written a small utility to ease such processing. Mkv2vfr extracts all video frames from Matroska to a CFR AVI file and a timecode file. You can extract video to avi, process it with any apps and mux back to matroska using a timecode file if you didn't add/remove frames. If you changed the frames you'd need to edit the timecode file by hand. This is the same tool that I've made long ago under the name of mp_rel.exe. If you use that you can upgrade to this new version as the underlying core matroska parser received quite a few bug fixes and improvements in the meantime.

Why Early Access? “We would want to use Early Access to give players an opportunity to experience early game play and be a part of the progress of Flashing Lights development as we evolve the map and game play mechanics. After the full release there will be updates for bug fixes.” How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version? “The full version marks the point at which new game play mechanics and updates will not be as frequent. During the time we should have a number of missions for each role, vehicle customization, several map updates as well as more tools and equipment functionality. Closer to the full release we would hope to have all major languages added to the game as well.” What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently in Alpha and players may come across bugs. Various additional game features and mechanics are also in development and will be added throughout Early Access. PoliceThe role of police includes a mission in which players pursue a vehicle in an exciting car chase. They will also be able to pull over vehicles, ask them questions and issue an alcohol test. The speed gun, located in the boot, can be used to scan passing cars. The internal computer also has some functionality and is able to check the speed of the vehicle in front of you.

Players can issue parking tickets to parked cars and will gain reputation based on positive and negative behaviour. FireThe fire department have several callouts (missions) which require the player to put out building fires, container fires and rescue trapped civilians. They are able to operate the fire truck, use fire extinguishers, a fire hose and the jaws of life to complete a variety of missions.
